Hi everyone!
Hope you've all been enjoying the trainings so far!
The London Area Universities & Colleges Senior Open 2015 is happening on Sunday 15th November 2015 and I expect everyone to participate! The competition is open to all grades and is a great opportunity to try out your skills and see what a judo competition is like. It is being held at Sports Dock, UEL, Docklands Campus, University Way, London, E12 2RD, which is only a tube ride away. We will travel there and back as a club and will probably end the day with a well-deserved drink or two. Entries cost £15
If you were under the age of 20 on the 1st of September 2015 then you can enter two groups and this will cost £26.

Hi All!
If you are a bit confused about how our membership and fees work here's a short rundown of what you need to do to join the Club. Please try to do it as soon as you can!
1) Club Membership (32£):
The first thing that you need to get is the Club Membership. As soon as you'll have it you will officially become a member of our Club!
It is essential to be a member if you want to continue to train with us so don't wait any longer and get your membership now! :) https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/activities/a-to-z/014
2) Autumn Mat Fees (30£ or 20£):
Mat Fees are termly fees that go towards the teachers' salary, hiring the Gym, buying equipment, running the Club, etc ...
They are 30£ a term for the first two terms and 15£ for the last term. That's less than a pound per session! If you are a complete beginner ( white belt ) you can get the Atumn Mat Fees ( 1st term ) for just 20£ !
To get this term's mat fee simply go on the Union Shop and pick whichever of the two you need :) https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/activities/a-to-z/014
3) BJA Membership:
To practice Judo you also need a British Judo Association Membership. The BJA Membership includes a comprehensive public liability and personal insurance so it is really essential to get one!
As we are an University Judo Club we are part of the Student Voucher Scheme<http://www.britishjudo.org.uk/svs>: for only 20£ you will get the membership but also a brand new judogi and your first grading for free. A normal Student Membership would cost you 27£ so even if you don't need a new judogi you are better off going for the 20£ offer!
All info on how to apply for the Student Voucher Scheme is in the email 'Student Voucher Scheme - Imperial College Judo Club'. If you haven't received it let us now :)
...
That's it! You are now all set to go!
If you have any questions about any of the above don't hesitate to get in touch!
