Hey people,
Just a quick one from me for those who didn't get a chance at training, ACC is tonight and it's going to be immense with all the sports teams and just over 2100 pints.
If you still want a ticket then tonight when you come just give me a ring and I'll come meet you outside, don't forget your money!
The guys heard me say this in the changing rooms but if you didn't know the theme for tonight is RUBIX, if you feel like it then wear 4/6 different colours with the aim of wearing one colour by the end of the night, it's generally a great way of chatting to randomers but of course it's not compulsory but the more the merrier (I've just got back from Primark with a bright red t-shirt).
See you tonight!

Dear Judo people,
As I mentioned tonight, the first ACC Bar Night of the year is upon us! For those of you who are yet to be enlightened, picture this:
-50 sports teams
-400 people
-27 kegs of beer and cider
It really is by far the best union night and generally a great opportunity to get to know everyone in the Judo club. Despite what the rugby team say you don't have to drink alcohol either, there are soft drinks wristbands as well for £3.
If you fancy it, wristbands need to be bought from me at some point before you go to the union, feel free to give me a ring or email to arrange picking them up or just buy them from me on the night.
I'll talk about it again on Wednesday but for those who can't make it, we start at 7pm at the Union.
See you Wednesday,
Jake

hi. can you please forward this to everyone on the judo mailing list?
thanks
Hi everyone,
I am Marcelo and I am on the commitee for IC Judo this year. I noticed there wasn't really a Judo group on Facebook, so I made one.
It would make it easier to communicate with each other about competitions, gradings and to organise events.
Would appreciate it if everyone could join it and invite people who are interested in coming to classes!

Dear All,
This is just a reminder that on Saturday the 11th of December there will be a referee and competition officials course run by the British Judo Association. It is a unique opportunity to get those qualifications. It will just cost £10 and everyone who is green belt and above could do it. If you would like to take part, please let me know as soon as possible.
See you on the mat!

For tomorrow session we are meeting at 13.00 at the Budokwai. Hopefully you all know how to get there. For those who will get lost, the address is: 4 Gilston Road, SW10 9SL.
There will be a grading that everyone who has a licence can do. Please remember to bring your licence and £7 in cash with you, if you grade. For those who are not grading, the session is still on, we will just divide the mat in 2 after the warm-up.
See you tomorrow,

Smudge asked me to email round a useful link to a new BJA website.
It has GIFs and information on all the necessary throws for grading up to brown belt:

All of you who have licences, bring them with you today. We are going to grade!
