Guys and girls, To those fighting at the weekend, it's really cold so make sure you keep warm, don't want no last minute flu. And watch your weight if you are close to your limit! Anyone who wasn't at the introductory session for the gym should let us know asap as ability groups have already been decided by SI fitness coaches. Today we have a few visitors from ULU Judo coming down to practice, should be a couple fo beginners and advanced players. See you at 1pm! Guys Important. To all fighting in Sheffield. Make sure you take your tickets now! Price have slightly increase (from 12 to 15) since last week so make sure you book them now! You'll need a sleeping bag some make sure you find one by next week. Second point: We need names for the organised Ethos Gym session. Sport Imperial are paing for two private coaches to come and assess our individual fitness level in view of setting a general weight and conditioning programme: this MONDAY BETWEEN 1 and 2PM. Come in gym/tracksuits outfit at 1pm! I neeed names to send to S.I. so please reply to this with your names and put Weight session as a subject. Do it, they are doing us a big favour! Dear All, Below you will find a list of those who to my knowledge will be competing in Sheffield. If you are not on the list and would like to take part in the competition, please let me know immediately, as the deadline for the application is very close. If you are still unsure, I really advice you to go. It will be a great experience. It will be a bigger session for all. It will be followed up by sessions in smaller groups (we would split in half). The sessions are kindly sponsored by the Sport Imperial (they are free), are designed to set you off with a fitness programme to improve your performance and will be lead by experienced fitness instructors from Ethos. If you do not usually go to the gym, it would be a good opportunity to start. Please let me know who is attending by Thursday so that I have the idea of the numbers. Lastly, after the Monday training last week a watch has been found. If you lost it let me know. Competition+fitness programe+vouchers.

Dear All, Those of you who would like to take part in the Sheffield Competition please send me your weight, grade and licence number as soon as possible. The deadline for the application is Monday. It is going to be a one day competition so we will be leaving Saturday morning or Friday evening and coming back on Saturday evening. I really advice all of you to take part, to see how does a competition look like, what is the atmosphere like and to test yourselves. Secondly, the Sport Imperial is going to provide us with a fitness program. We will meet the gym instructors at the Ethos gym next week, they are going to show us the exercises, check if we are doing them correctly. The sessions would be between 12-13. Please let me know if you are interested and let me know what days (apart from Wednesday) fit you. Lastly, I would like to remind those of you who have the booklets, that they contain a free grading voucher. Please bring the voucher with you next time you grade and you will not have to pay £7. Judo licences and IC Judo membership

Hey guys, I've just been made aware that the British Judo Association is able to offer licences to students at a discounted rate at this webpage - http://www.britishjudo.org.uk/membership/individual_2010.php It's important that you are all licenced when attending classes as insures against injury, and you'll need them to progress to higher grades too. They seem to take around a week to arrive so if you're aiming to grade soon get one ordered. For those of you that got booklets send them off as quick as you can, it's really worthwhile being insured at judo, you see the mat gets cleared for some injury or another once a session and that licence is your insurance!
