i need to run 3D case for square cylinder for Reynolds 600 what do you think is it possible to run the case 2D and start with this case solution as a initial solution for the 3D case, or i can start my case in 3D from beginning. regards, Reda
Hi, If you plan on using the Fourier expansion in the third direction (2.5D), than yes you can start with a 2D solution and than use expansion. This is good if your problem is periodic in that direction. If you are thinking about a full 3D case you might experiment with interpolation (see manual).
