Olympic park volunteer opportunities
Hi Everyone, *_Volunteers Needed for London Youth Games_*
From 6th - 9th May the 2012 School Games, a unique multi-sport event for elite athletes of school age, will be held in London at many of the Olympic venues including the Olympic Stadium, Aquatics Centre and Velodrome. Around 1600 athletes from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will compete in 12 sports, ranging from Athletics to Wheelchair Basketball.
Through this event we aim to reward and recognise a diverse workforce of skilled, trained and enthusiastic young and adult volunteers and inspire them to continue their volunteering journey beyond this event. We are looking for over 400 volunteers to support this great opportunity on each day of the event and embrace the legacy of volunteering in a unique setting. We want to make sure that the UK's sports stars of tomorrow get the ultimate experience in the run up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Criminal Records Bureau checks will be required for some volunteer roles -- further information is available at www.sgvolunteers.org<http://www.sgvolunteers.org%20> The closing date is 31^st January at 5pm. *If you are interested go to the website above and see the attached documents for more information.
