Hi all, For those of you who have already had their first four free training sessions, you will now need to buy judo membership and mat fees. These can be bought on the union website here: https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/activities/a-to-z/judo To continue your training you will also need insurance. Buying insurance will also give your your first grading for free, and a judo gi. Welcome to Judo

Hello everyone, Welcome to Imperial college Judo! This year we have three training sessions a week, beginning tomorrow Monday 8th October. Training will be in the UDH (Union Dining Hall) and the UG (Union Gym), which are respectively on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the Union Building, Beit Quad. Our times are: Monday 20:00 - 22:00 UG Wednesday 16:00 - 18:00 UDH Thursday 17:30 – 19:00 UG Taster sessions are offered for newcomers to the club, your first four sessions are free. The club has some to lend out to beginners, however depending on the number of people who turn up, there may not be enough to go around, so long trousers and a top you don’t mind getting stretched out are recommended. Glasses, earrings or anything else that might get pulled out or hurt you if you land on them are not allowed on the mats. It’s also best to keep your nails relatively short as it can hurt to grip gis if you have long nails. Belt Gradings

Hi everyone, please come along to training next Monday and Wednesday for Gradings. These are non-stressful and a great way to mark your progress. The grade progression is white, red, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, then black. Gradings cost £17 (belt included) - pay this to Glenn on the day. Those of you that have bought the BJA voucher scheme will grade for red (free) and yellow (£17) on the same day.
