Digest Hey everyone! Congratulation for coming thus far this autumn term! Just push on for a bit, it's only one more week to winter break! I hope it will be a good break for everyone, whether you're going to travel or just chill around. More importantly, I hope you're excited because Christmas is coming! It's definitely a joyous occasion no matter where you are, so may you enjoy this festive season (: The ICSS *Christmas Party* just concluded tonight, and it was a really fun night with sumptuous food and exciting performances. In other news, applications for the *Point Hope Book Prize* are now open! Point Hope is the philanthropic arm of a private equity firm, and they are offering Book Prizes to deserving Singaporeans at Imperial College. Winners will receive *£500* as well as a *one-week summer internship* in the* private equity and fund management profession*. For more details on how to apply, please refer to the post below! Your cool Events Officer, Gao Ming 2. Point Hope Book Prize Dear all, Applications for the *Point Hope Book Prize* are now open! Here are more details on what this meaningful award is all about: Point Hope is the philanthropic arm of one of the first private equity firms in Asia with an integrated philanthropy programme, focusing on education, healthcare, and humanitarian aid. Scholarships and bursaries have been awarded to top undergraduate and postgraduate students at leading universities. Point Hope has also been supporting cancer research at the National Heart and Lung Institute at the Royal Brompton Hospital in the United Kingdom and has frequently donated to Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders. This is the sixth year in which Point Hope will be awarding Book Prizes to deserving members of the Malaysian and Singaporean Society at Imperial College London.
