Hello, First of all, thanks to everyone who came to the Beer and Biscuits last night. It was great to see so many new faces and get more people signed up! Our next training session will be at noon tomorrow (Wednesday the 19th), meeting at the doors to the Beit West Basement. You can come for training no matter how far along you are with getting a show set up. Anyone who can't make then, let me know and I'll arrange another session later in the week. Happy presenting! More merriment like last night's B&B to come :) For any of you keen for more socialising and partying, we have another social tomorrow evening, the Student Radio Awards nominations party! https://www.facebook.com/events/161473430716303/ Myself and James Stevenson (The Communist Propaganda Show<http://www.icradio.com/shows/741/#broadcasts> and general king of choonage) will be heading along for the whole training day like a pair of nerds if anyone wants to join us at any point. Directions: Get on the Picadilly line from South Kensington station / Gloucester Road going west and get off at South Ealing. Hello freshers and new members! Welcome to Imperial College Radio, everyone who signed up today and those who have emailed us in the past few weeks. This mailing list is where you'll hear news and announcements for all our presenters. Those of you who've signed up to our specialist mailing lists will hear from those over the next few days. Our first event: beer and biscuits If you want FREE DRINKS (alcoholic and non-alcoholic available), to meet the committee and other IC Radio members, listen to some great music and chat to us about getting involved, come to our Beer and Biscuits night next Monday. That's at: Monday the 7th of October, 7pm in the Physics Common Room, Level 8, Blackett Presenters: training and booking your show Anyone who wants to present a show, there's just three things you need to do first: 1. Buy membership - you won't be able to log in to the radio members' area until you have done so. 2. Take a look at the schedule<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkH98J2fAtXmdDF6NWtCa016UlhiX1…>spreadsheet to choose your show slot, email me at programming(a)icradio.com with your choice, the show's name, and the name of any other presenters. 3. Come to one of our training sessions where we'll teach you how to present a show. This week they'll be on Wednesday and Friday at noon, meeting at the doors to the Beit West Basement.
