fixes for arc-ces/server reconfiguration
Hi All, There is currently a problem with submitting to arc-ces via dirac. (It just doesn't do it.) We *think* we have a solution for it, unfortunately this requires some non-negligible bit of reconfiguration. We intend to do this tomorrow morning. We hope that, while the dirac instance might be temporarily unavailable, none of the running/queued jobs will be lost. But as we all know, hope dies last, so if you are planning to submit any jobs tomorrow, I would recommend holding off until after lunch. Hi Daniela, For my understanding, which solution are you going to use - the Configuration redoing or the ARCComputingElement update? Thanks and Cheers, Raja. On 04/11/15 15:40, Daniela Bauer wrote:

Hi Raja, both. though not at the same time. I'm not sure they are actually related. I have several 100 jobs running on that server, so I'm not quite buying into the 'this configuration can't work at all' explanation (because when we first setup that server we explicitly tested submission to arc ces). However it will have to wait until tomorrow, so I have all day to fix it when it goes horribly wrong :-D Cheers, Daniela On 4 November 2015 at 16:01, Raja Nandakumar <raja.nandakumar@cern.ch> wrote:

Hi All, It looks like the arc submission problem is fixed (thanks Raja). I don't think we lost any jobs. We are still working on the configuration, but we are using one of the 'quiet' VOs for testing, so if you are doing real work, it should now be safe to do so. regards, Daniela On 4 November 2015 at 16:05, Daniela Bauer < daniela.bauer.grid@googlemail.com> wrote:
