Problems with spud- Firedrake-fluids
Dear all, I am trying to install the Firedrake-Fluids module. First of all, I installed Spud, but I have some problems with the source code. Since I work on Ubuntu, I tried to install the dependencies adding the Launchpad repository but, when I update and type *sudo apt-get build-dep spud* I receive the error *unable to find a source package for spud* I tried to build it and install from source via bzr repository an it seems to work, but when I try to make the Firedrake-Fluids tests, I have *No module named libspud* Can anybody help me with this problem? Many thanks, Sara

I'm not sure how spud is installed. However, I note that firedrake-fluids is unmaintained, and has not been updated since 2015. What kind of flow problems are you trying to simulate? For coastal ocean, either shallow water equations, or 3D, I would recommend using thetis (which is built on top of Firedrake) (www.thetisproject.org). Thanks, Lawrence
I am trying to find a DG shallow water model for 1D and 2D shallow water equations. I am using Flooddrake at the time, but I will have a look at Thetis, too. Thanks a lot Sara 2017-06-10 16:12 GMT+02:00 Lawrence Mitchell < lawrence.mitchell@imperial.ac.uk>:
