[FILM-Users 00524] High Content Screening
Dear All As some of you may be aware, before he left, Martin applied for funds for a High Content Screening unit. This has been successful and we are now at the stage of testing available models If anyone has an application for this type of instrument or samples they would like tested or be involved in the testing then please contact us. The following was in the original application: High-content screening (HCS) microscope with confocal modality Required specifications will include: * Brightfield and phase contrast imaging, * 5 excitation lasers for multi-parameter imaging, * Multi-channel confocal or multi-camera acquisition for high speed, * Upgrade option for temperature incubation. Projects: * Assays for phenotyping * RNAi screens aimed at dissecting actin binding proteins and Rho GTPase signalling important for stable epithelial cell-cell contacts and polarity, with impact on epithelial homeostasis and diseases. * Acquisition of high quality images in large scale * Invasion assays Bw Steve FILM - Facility for Imaging by Light Microscopy ************************************************************** Steve Rothery FILM Technician Sir Alexander Fleming Building, desk 403 Imperial College London / South Kensington Exhibition Road London SW7 2AZ Tel +44-(0)207 594 9793 And ICTEM, (L-Block) Room 314 Hammersmith Campus Imperial College London Du Cane Road London, W12 0NN Tel. +44-(0)207 594 1669 E-mail s.rothery@imperial.ac.uk<mailto:s.rothery@imperial.ac.uk> Website: http://imperial.ac.uk/imagingfacility **************************************************************
