Dear Matthew,

Whilst you are working on this, I'm including my colleague Guilia Cali who is supporting the administration of the proposal. Guilia, please can you request the admin info from Matthew for ICHP. According to the EC portal I see they have a PIC of 949202231.

Regards,
Jack

Hi Matthew,

Just to clarify, we would be happy for you to coordinate the implementation of either intervention (12-18 or 19-25 age group).

The information we need for the proposal is the same as we have included for other countries (I think it starts on page 13 of the attached version). Do you think you can get reasonably close to that level of detail?

Any questions, please, let us know.

Franco

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for developing this document for us. It is very helpful.

In return, I am attaching the full proposal in its current draft form.

As outlined in my earlier message we are looking to partners to implement one or both of our two intervention packages, aimed at either 12-18 or 19-25-year olds. We spoke about you focusing on the younger age group, but do you see potential to look at the old age categories too?

On numbers, I see in the budget you mention it's difficult to calculate costs in the absence of an indicative scale. However, are you able to estimate how many schools you might reasonably be able to recruit? We need to insert credible numbers in our proposal and put forward a plausible plan. For context, our partners in other countries are implementing interventions at quite a large scale (several thousand children) as we will need to ensure we are able to evaluate each intervention and have enough power to say something meaningful from large sample sizes.

If you are able to provide some additional (ball-park) details that would be very much appreciated.

Regards,

Jack

Hi both,

Huge thanks for the discussion on Friday.

As agreed, please find attached a proposal that provides a bit more thought into how we might join the consortium bid based on the documents you have shared.

I believe the executive summary can be the basis for the text you may wish to include in the bid documentation.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the attached. Although as you'll see it's quite assumption driven given timeframes and lack of familiarity with the Horizon bid processes.

In terms of cohort I've focussed on CYP MH as that is known and confirmed but as mentioned Childhood Obesity is a potential priority that we could expand to. We should get further clarity on this in a few weeks.

All the best,

Matthew

Thanks, Matthew.

Perfectly reasonable question to ask - we are keen to move forward with your inclusion and after just discussing with Franco we would be able to allocate between 400 to 500k EUR to ICHP.

Regards,

Jack

Thanks Jack,

As agreed, working on getting something across to you today. Just to help with the budget side of things is there a ballpark figure that you had in mind? As there's no budgetary information in what was shared - I was hoping to base off a similar intervention.

No worries if not, but given proximity to deadline just might help avoid a loop.

All the best,

Matthew

Dear Matthew,

It was very good to meet you this morning.

As discussed, I'm attaching an overview of our European proposal, A-Z-Health, along with descriptions of our two intervention packages. Whilst there is limited time left before the deadline, we are keen to explore whether we might be able to implement some interventions in the UK via ICHP.

Keen to hear your thoughts on this after you've read the attached.

Regards,

Jack
