As you may have seen, we have circulated a budget proposal. As we are approaching the deadline, we need to allow partners sufficient time to review it and provide feedback.
With reference to PHCU budget, we allocated:
- as for all intervention site, a total of 62 Person Months (1 under WP1, 15PMs for the interventions design under WP4, 35 PMs to implement the interventions under WP6, 8 PMs to contribute to the evaluation activities under WP7, 2 PMs to contribute to the modeling and scenario building under WP8 and 1 PM for dissemination and communication activities). I have temporarily used a monthly rate of €3,700 for your budget, but please let me know what the correct rate should be.
- Travel costs for project meetings of 7.500€ (covering the costs of 5 trips for 2 people.
- Implementation costs for the intervention (WP6) of 26.000€. So, with reference to your question, a budget is already planned under other costs to implement the activities locally. Please let me know whether this amount is appropriate.

We also want to inform you that we will have other costs/subcontracts we to implement the activities locally. We plan to hire the local consultants and provide procurements of services. Could you please tell what typical estimates that are calculated for other costs/subcontracts?

Indeed the rate we should consider is based on weighted mix of staff involved in the project (not the cumulative amount).
Tomorrow we’ll circulate a proposal of budget among all partners so if you could provide to me the average monthly rate by today it would be perfect.
About your budget:
- personnel costs —> we will centrally propose an amount of Person Months to each partner to implement the planned activities (so no needs to make estimates)
- travel costs for project meetings —> as above, no needs to make estimates. We will allocate centrally a budget to each partner
- indirect costs —> are calculated automatically (25% of the direct costs)
You should only let us know if you plan other costs/subcontracts we should consider to implement the activities locally.I’m available for a call if you need support.

Just let us two more days to develop the calculations if possible.

would it be possible to receive some additional details on the gross monthly rate for each profile, as well as the percentage of effort of each person allocated to the project (as we assume they will not be fully dedicated to project activities)?
Considering the average monthly rates of other partners (e.g. ICL indicates €8,800) and based on my experience, it seems an high salary that we should be able to justify.
Moreover, we will allocate Person months and travel costs for project meeting centrally. Please feel free to share with me estimates of other costs and/or subcontracts you could have to implement the project activities. We will try to accomodate all requests in the proposed budget that will be shared soon.
