Betreff: RE: Z-HEALTH proposal
Thank you, Daniel. This is very helpful. Let me get back to you later today about possibly involving Sebastian. I really hope BGF is willing to get involved. It would add great value
to the proposal. I hope this is not interfering too much with your trip to France. Franco

Subject: Re: Z-HEALTH proposal
Dear Franco,
Thank you again for leading this exciting EU proposal.
Please see enclosed a draft work package description for Work Package 5 (WP 5). I left open section "1.2.2 Interaction with other projects“ for now.
To accommodate the scope of Z-Health, I kept the descriptions rather broad. If you have comments and remarks, I am happy to make adjustments and/or more details, etc.
Below are some organizational points.
1. Budget. Tanja Leppik-Bork from the administration of the University of Cologne already provided
information on the required budget for WP5 to Loredana. This is predominantly for the intervention design phase (12 months) and some for the support during the intervention implementation phase.
2. Digital components.
As the planned interventions contain a digital component (i.e., device-assisted monitoring and feedback), I was wondering in what capacity NYU could provide us with the necessary digital
framework and programming support (e.g., for adoptions app of local needs).
An app could also be provided through the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Behavioral Economics in Bonn. Sebastian Schneider (https://www.econ.mpg.de/sebastian-schneider),
a co-author of mine, developed an official MPI study app, which could be very useful in collecting information and communication with study participants.
3. Intervention partner in Germany.
Without an intervention partner, it will be difficult for Stephanie and me to implement the interventions in Germany.
Stephanie and I will talk to the BGF institute hopefully this week. The exact date is not fixed yet. We will keep you posted.
We also talk to Prof. Reiner Hanewinkel (IFT), who has experience in conducting health-releated interventions in high schools in Northern Germany, to explore whether IFT could
be a meaningful partner.
