Dear All, Please circulate this around appropriate members of your research groups. As you may remember from our last meeting, we are trying to improve the cyber security of the college. Part of this is try to collect telemetry data for devices accessing certain college systems - all that we are interested in is essentially the patched level of the device, firewall, antivirus etc. We are considering different ways that this can be done from Apple devices. We are looking for a range of apple users from across college to take part in trials and review the proposed solutions. It is only by doing this that we can find a solution that is acceptable to the user communities. At the end of the trials your device will be left as you want them. Basically, if you don't participate at this stage don't feel free to complain about the solution that is settled on :-) This work is being coordinated by a group called Cyber Security Technical Advisory Group (CSTAG). The co-chairs of CSTAG are Jason Bennett and Chris de La Force. They are cc'ed on this message. If you would like to volunteer then please write to them directly (cc'ing me). Thanks you for your help in this, it will be invaluable. Best, david
Thanks David, Yes, we just want some testers. You don't need to actually 'do' anything. You install one package, log in with your username@ic.ac.uk and then leave it alone. If it works, great; if it causes problems, tell us!
