Fwd: FoNS FRCC 10.01.24 2-3pm
Happy New Year to you all! We have a Faculty Computing Meeting next week. Normally, I like to organise a Physics Computing Meeting before the FRCC so that one can feed into the other. However, this may not be practical at such short notice so we may end up having this as a briefing session after the FRCC I have created a doodle poll for our meeting (with two possible dates before the FRCC and others after): https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/aOJ73gGe Please can you fill it in by 11am on Monday (just incase Monday is somehow the most popular). Below is the message that I sent to FRCC members - is there anything that you would like to add? I am aware that I am due to produce new ToR for our committee and will try to do so before our meeting so that we can discuss. At the moment the only items that I have for the agenda are: - Update from ICT/RCS - including new cyber-security committee - I have added Tom Willson in case he is able to come along and would like to comment on this. - Gathering information about zscalar issues (something that I have somewhat neglected since early December) - Discussions of new ToR draft (I will circulate these early next week) - AoB Is there anything else that anybody would like to add to the agenda? The meeting will be both online and in person and I have booked Blackett 532 for anybody in South Kensington. Best, david
Hi All, Thank you to those who replied by 11am this morning. Looking at the replies so far, the date that is looking best is Friday 19th. This is not just because of the numbers but the two people who cannot make that date are both from particles (although Alex is there as head of second year computing not as a particles rep). I am hoping that Simon Fayer can speak both for himself and Dan Whitehouse and I will speak to Alex in advance to see if there are any specific issues that he wants to bring up. I am assuming that everybody else can make the 19th, if not then please email me. Best, david On 05/01/2024 17:57, David Colling wrote:
