[Physics-Departmental-Computing] git hosting

Dear all, Last week I met with Heather Chisholm about a centralised git service (possibly using github enterprise/gitlab/something similar), which seems to have emerged as a possible need following the RDM surveys. I promised to investigate interest etc. in the department (hence this email). If you think your group might find such a service useful or have thoughts about requirements etc., please could you let me know? I'll forward response to Heather next week.
