Hi All, Wednesday the 19th is the clear favourite -- Arttu and Graham would you like to send a deputy? Historically these meeting were at lunchtime and I was planning to stick to this unless there are objections. I will find a room tomorrow. I was going to suggest 12:30 to 14:00 (hopefully 13:30 but as this is the first meeting in a long time it might overrun). Does this timing work everybody? I will put together an agenda in the next few days but if you have any suggestions then please do send them to the list (or to me directly) Best, david On 04/02/2020 12:18, David Colling wrote:
Hi All,
Thank yopu to all those who have filled in the doodle and the survey.
As everybody should be back in college by now please can every who has not filled in the doodle poll please do so by the end of today so that I can set a date tomorrow morning. If you don't fillin the doodle then I will assume that you are free any day - Wednesday the 19th seems to match everybody except Arttu at the moment and so is the front runner (sorry Arttu) so if this doesn't work for you then act now.
Best, david

Dear All,
Just a gentle reminder to fill these in if you haven't already. I know that it was a long lead time between the request and the deadline which makes people put it off but this was only because some people were away until next week.

Dear All,
Thank you for agreeing to be part of the newly reformed Physics Departmental Computing Committee. I hope that this will be very useful group over the next few years.
I think that we need to get an idea of what our computing needs are now and in the immediate future. I have set up a google form to try to gather this information. It is far from perfect and will not fit any individual group perfectly but please do your best to work with this imperfect construction. I will try to turn the returns into a living document.
The form can be found at:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeTnWnvjKKTVD5hZ8drIf2dLeGWHY4x-uYT...
From the out of office replies that I have received, I see that some of you are unavailable until 3rd Feb, so please try to have this form completed by the 6th Feb (although obviously the earlier the better).
I think that we should meet roughly once a term and I have set up a doodle for our first meeting. Please fill it in at your earliest convenience. The meeting will be at lunchtime so as not to interfere with any teaching. The link to the doodle poll is:

Thanks again.
Best, david
