David

Just to note for those that don't know, RCS picked up the license costs for Intel Compilers support last year to centralise costs.

Technically Intel Compilers are now free and you only pay for support for access to older versions.

Anyone who was listed as Intel compiler user and had previously bought them we contacted last year based on a list given to us by Intel.

However, anyone not on that list or looking to buy them afresh should be aware of this.

Hi David

Some of the plasma are still using intel compilers quite a lot.

Best wishes

Hi David, (CC: Dept. Computing)

SPAT use the Intel Fortran compiler still. There are some code which don't readily compile with the GNU versions, and this is something we still use for radiative transfer codes written and provided by colleagues in the USA.

Best wishes,
Rich

Hi All,

How many groups still use the Intel compilers? Many years these ago these were very important but I don't know if anybody is still relying on it?

Best,
david
