I think it is important that all committees have a ToR, and very happy to work with Dave and everyone to decide what this should be. I think it ought to be a relatively simple exercise but the devil is in the detail. I agree with Dave that a sensible first
step is to have a discussion in the meeting about this, and then I will follow up with him.
In terms of the structure of the committee, I have discussed the membership briefly with Dave, but I believe the key aspect is to make sure all the communities are suitably represented, along with other relevant aspects of Departmental computing activities.
Dave has emphasised the benefits of a 'broad church' of keen participants, which I also am happy to see, but equally it is sensible to have a plan for how long people serve, and for how new/young/enthusiastic people can get the chance to participate and contribute
their ideas.
Dave has supplied the following membership list which I have adapted to the new community structure where possible (and I deeply apologise if I got your community affiliation wrong!):

Overall to my mind the first impression is that the committee has a nice balance of representation. I hope I can join for the first part of tomorrow's meeting; it will be good to see everyone!
Best wishes
