Hi Jony, This might be a better idea. At what point in the year do you train your new students in Mathematica? Best, david On 05/09/12 10:26, Jony Hudson wrote:
A reminder/pointer: I run an introductory Mathematica course for our CQD DTC students/incoming grad students. The material is all on the web, and it's perfectly suitable for self study:

I'm sure I could be convinced to run it "onsite" for others for less than what Wolfram charge ;-)

Is there any interest in a one or two day training course on Mathematica? Perhaps for the new PGs?
Thoughts welcome, david

You're probably aware that we've been holding various training courses at the Wolfram Centre here in Oxfordshire. However, we've recently been asked if it's possible to set up local training sessions to eliminate travel time and costs. If there is a small group who is interested, we're happy to come to you.
Would you be interested in attending a one-day or two-day training session if we set this up?
Once I determine interest, I can outline costs to the group and we can start to talk about convenient times to hold the training.
I look forward to hearing from you.
