Hello everyone,

I have two AOB from my side with my DHoD hat on:
1) Department reorganisation (how you all think we best integrate this committee into the new structure)
2) STFC Exascale - things are moving at national level, and I would like to know who in the Department is engaged with this?

Best wishes
Jonathan

Hi All,

Just a reminder that we have a Physics Computing Meeting today at
midday. This will be a mixed meeting with those in person being in
Blackett 532 and those online in:

https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3aa4aacd8a744e4aeead6f43e3da2c047c%40thread.tacv2/1689003743856?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%222b897507-ee8c-4575-830b-4f8267c3d307%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%2231758ee1-834c-4523-9a1f-0f75fb7eafc0%22%7d

(which is in the appropriate teams channel).

I didn't see any additions to the agenda, so it will be:

- Status of the HPC upgrade.
- General News from ICT (including the service des
- Securing college devices
- Mailman (and its demise)
- Communication channels between ICT and the Department(s)
- The unified Windows build across teaching machines.
- RSEs in Physics (and FoNS)
- AoB

If I missed anything then please do bring it up under AoB.

I have a number of apologies for today and while this looks a packed
agenda I am confident that we can deal with most items swiftly and keep
to time.

The agenda is looking similar to that of the FRCC tomorrow.

Best,
david
