Hi All, Things have failed to converge as I had hoped. The most promising is currently looking to be 3-4pm tomorrow, even though that is a time that Luke cannot make and I really would like Luke to be there if at all possible. Is there any way that you can reschedule Luke, or perhaps you and I could chat in advance? Best, david On 09/01/2023 12:51, David Colling wrote:
Hi All,
My apologies for making this more complicated than normal, but Mary Ryan has just cancelled our Wednesday monring meeting (not her fault - an external visitor is unwell) which means I am more free on Wednesday morning so I have added an extra hour on Wednesday morning - please update your poll if you have a chance.
Best, david

H All,
There were a couple of key people who could not guarantee Wednesday. So I have created a doodle poll. This can be found at:

Wednesday is very tight for me, but Friday I only have a s maybe as I need to schedule another meeting in at least one of these time slots so they are maybe in both doodles.
Please fill in this afternoon (by 5pm) so that if we meet tomorrow afternoon there will be some notice.

Hi All,
On my list of actions from opur discussion on Friday was to set up a meeting to try to sort out the support for computers used in teaching in Physics. These include those in the computing suite and those in the different labs. I was going to try to set up a doodle poll for this, but my next 2 weeks are extra ordinarily busy (or this become ordinary these days?). So I am going to suggest a day and time and if the key people cannot make it then I will set up a doodle.
So I am going to suggest 15:30->16:30 on Wednesday (11/1/2023). This will hopefully be a mixed meeting.
While everybody is welcome, I think that the key people I think include Okan, Graham from the UG labs, at least one person from either first or second year computing (ideally both but ...). It would also be good if anybody else teaching a course that is heavily computer based can make it and perhaps Luke if he is available.
I have a list topic to discuss but please let me know if you have suggestions.
Best, david
