Regarding direct stability analysis of Rayleigh Benard Convection
Dear friends, I am trying to do direct stability analysis of Rayleigh Benard Convection (RBC) in Nektar++. I observe positive eigenvalues even for Ra=1000, which is below critical. I have attached my XML file. It would be great if someone would give comment on this issue. Dear friends, I work out the things further. So, finally, I realized that the code is not taking the base flow component of the scalar field. I mean to say that for a scalar field T, T = T_base + T_ fluctuation, but somehow in the code it is T = T_ fluctuation. I would be grateful if David or any other developer could check this. with regards Abhishek ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------- Abhishek Kumar Post Doctoral Researcher Applied Mathematics Research Centre Coventry University, Coventry CV15FB The United Kingdom Email # ac7600@coventry.ac.uk, abhishek.kir@gmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------- On Tue, Jan 30, 2018 at 5:12 PM, Abhishek Kumar <abhishek.kir@gmail.com> wrote:
