complex mode in linear stability analysis
Dear, All I would like to know if the leading mode are complex mode in linear stability analysis, what part doses the code output to Paraview ? real part or imaginary part or normal part? Thanks very much for any help! Hongfu
Hi Hongfu, I think it depends on whether you are using a half mode or single mode options. In the half mode case it outputs the real part of u,v, and the imaginary part of w. Otherwise you should get two eigenfunctions one of which can be considered as the real part and the other as the imaginary part. Best regards, Spencer.
