The range option is set like this, "FieldConvert -r xmin,xmax,ymin,ymax,zmin,zmax". The values are separated by commas. If an element has one vertex lying in this range, the element will be included in the dat/plt/vtu file. Elements will not be cut by the range boundary. I guess this is the problem.

Dear All- I was trying to use FieldConvert on chk field to .dat file with range option. It was converting the file but the extracted cube has the same size as the original file. I will really appreciate your help.
