I have recently begun using Nektar++ 5.3.0 on CentOs and was going through the ‘Global Stability Analysis: Cylinder Flow’ tutorial. However, when I ran the ‘IncNavierStokesSolver’ with ‘Cylinder_Adjoint.xml’ I got the following error: I was wondering if I could get some assistance on why this error may be happening and how to fix it. Not sure what mgiht be going on here without seeing the input file. I did just run ChannelStabilityAdjoint.xml case which can be found under the Examples directory in the IncNavierStokesSolver. Perhaps you can check if that is working for you since it seems to run for me? Cheers, Spencer. Hi Hongtao, The error that you’re getting is related to ARPACK. Dnaupd is a function being called within ARPACK. I presume you’ve built Nektar++ from source? Or are you using a version installed from packages? If you’ve built from source, it could be that there’s some sort of incompatibility with the version of ARPACK that you have compiled Nektar++ against. Otherwise, it could simply be that there’s an error with one of the parameters added into the XML file being used to run the solver. Have you tried running with the complete example file provided with the tutorial? This can be found in "flow-stability-cylinder/completed/stability/Adjoint”. If this works then the issue is with the input file you’re using. If you still get the error then I suspect this is an issue with the version of ARPACK you’re using. What version of CentOS are you running? If you built Nektar++ from source, are you using a version of ARPACK that has been installed within CentOS from packages, or you’re using the version of ARPACK that is automatically built from source when you build Nektar++ if a pre-installed version of ARPACK is not found on the system where you’re building?
