Dear all, Could you please tell me if it is possible to perform stability analysis of a fully 3D flow. From what I can see in the code this feature is currently limited to 2D and 2.5D cases. Is this so? Kind regards, Stan Gepner Sorry if you are getting this message twice, for some reason it did not go through the first time. I could not find it in the archives.
Hi Stan, We did have a non-validated set up for fully 3D but that got corrupted a few revisions back. I was keen to get this going again and so made a branch called fix/StabilityFull I believe this is nearly working. In some tests I ran for a channel flow I managed to see some evidence of the correct eigenmodes emerging but did not get it to fully converge yet. This is quite a tough case since it has a very small growth rate so it might be worth trying it on another problem. Cheers, Spencer.
