Bug in LDG

Dear all, Whenever I use 2 or more equations with different types of boundary conditions for diffusion, convection-diffusion with LDG I obtain something weird. For example, a solution obtained using the attached file is just random noise. However, when I run problems separately or use implicit diffusion advancement (discontinuous and continuous), there are no issues. What is the reason for such behavior? Is there a way to fix this? womersley number

Dear all, I'm confused about description of womersley number on Page 150 of user-guide-4.4.1. Can anyone give me some suggestions? Or it is a typo and should be *'alpha_n'*? Also for the formula : [image: Screen Shot 2019-06-15 at 5.23.19 PM.png], what does *R* and *T *represent? Does R mean RADIUS (the non-dimensional radius of the boundary in Gmsh) or the real radius (with dimension) of the object? Does T mean Period (the non-dimensional cycle time period)? Running IncNavierStokesSolver in parallel with I.C. from file

Hello everyone, I got an issue when I want to run IncNavierStokesSolver while I am giving the initial conditions from a filed data file as: <FUNCTION NAME="InitialConditions"> <F VAR="u,v,w,p" FILE="IC.fld"/> </FUNCTION> The "IC.fld" was generated from the following interpolation using parallel FieldConvert: mpirun -np 256 FieldConvert -m interppointdatatofld Grid.xml IC.pts IC.fld where "IC.pts" comes from u,v,w,p from a fully turbulent 3D data. When I'm running the IncNavierStokesSolver with the following command: mpirun -np 256 IncNavierStokesSolver Grid.xml Conds.xml I'm getting the following error: Fatal : Level 0 assertion violation A parallel solver must be used when run in parallel. ------------------------------------------------------- Primary job terminated normally, but 1 process returned a non-zero exit code. Per user-direction, the job has been aborted. ------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- mpirun detected that one or more processes exited with non-zero status, thus causing the job to be terminated. The first process to do so was: Exit code: 1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everything works correctly if I don't run in parallel. Has anybody seen such issue? I would extremely appreciate it if you can help me with that. Abort trap: 6 I want to know can this command run with .chk file? Since we use the parallel computing, our cylinder1_Spherigon_5.chk file contains several .fld files and one info.xml. Hi all, Can somebody tell me if the ADRsolver can handle: 1. AdvectionVelocity from a set of files i.e. TIMEDEPENDENT: <FUNCTION NAME="AdvectionVelocity">  <F VAR="Vx,Vy,Vz" TIMEDEPENDENT="1" FILE="geom_%03i.chk:u,v,w" />  </FUNCTION> It seems as if it just uses the first file (or I am doing sth. wrong). I looked into the UnsteadyAdvection.cpp and AdvectionVelocity seems to be evaluated only at initialization. Is it the case? 2. Have Forcing f from a file: <FUNCTION NAME="Forcing"> <F VAR="Q" FILE="geom_240.chk:Q" /> </FUNCTION> For the above I am getting: Fatal : Level 0 assertion violation Function is defined by a file. FieldConvert: extract module for parallel computing results

Dear all, I try to extract boundary region by running: FieldConvert -m extract:fldtoboundary=1 cylinder1_Spherigon.xml cylinder1_Spherigon_5.chk cylinder1_Spherigon_5-boundary.chk Here my cylinder1_Spherigob_5.chk is a folder which contains: [image: Screen Shot 2019-06-05 at 6.06.53 PM.png] This is due to we use mpirun command to do simulation. However, we get the errors when running the above command: Fatal : Level 0 assertion violation Variable index out of range. libc++abi.dylib: terminating with uncaught exception of type ErrorUtil::NekError: Level 0 assertion violation Variable index out of range.
