Hi everyone, As mentioned next wednesday(10th) is grading (next week). Those who are already yellow will go for orange belt. If you wish to participate in BUCS( british uni championships at the end of term, biggest national event and the most important one for us...) it is crucial you attend next week grading and the one next month so that hopefully you reach your green belt by then. This is the minimum requirement if you wish to take part in the individual event. (kyu grade:green and blue only///dan grade:brown and black only) For those of you who are still white belt, no rush. And for those who are still not officially white,I would recommand you buy your British judo license online: https://www.secure-website.com/britishjudo/online_application.htm the club number doesnt really matter although ask on wednesday I am not sure. To refresh your mind on your respective gradings, follow the syllabus: http://www.britishjudo.org.uk/technical/documents/SeniorKyuGradeSyllabusPict... Links for the beginners to purchase gis online: website:http://www.fightingfilms.com/acatalog/JudogiandBelts.html http://www.avasports.com/judo/Judo_uniform.htm http://www.judogis.co.uk/ Finally,on wednesday the 17th of feb (in 2 weeks time) we will have a session orianted towards competition. To make sure everyone understands the 'basic' rules during a judo contest, we'll organise a mini competition during that session with refereed and timed contests. This will be very helpfull for those fighting at sheffield USIST on the 19th. Rearding this (Sheffield USIST) I will send a separate email to organise train journey. see u! committee
