Hello all, We will send round sign up sheets for tomorrow’s (Monday 8th Nov) sessions at 20:00 today. Tomorrow’s sessions will be: Beginners 20:00-21:00 Intermediate/advanced 21:00-22:00 I will confirm for sure tomorrow but the venue will be different from last monday. It will be Meeting Room 3, which is on the top floor of Union, right next to the lift, opposite the Union Gym. This will fix the whole mat set up fiasco we had last Monday. But again, I will confirm tomorrow. Don’t forget to buy a license under the BJA student voucher scheme if you haven’t already and you’re definitely interested in continuing coming to sessions. Once you have it, and the gi that comes included with it, you can start preparing for your first grading. Regarding the Sheffield Kyu Grade competition, at some point this coming week we’ll start coordinating with any of you who want to go, how we’ll get there, etc. If you’re graded it really is a good idea to go to these things. There’s no way to recreate the feeling of a competition other than doing competitions. When the bigger comps like BUCS come round, you’ll be far better prepared having done things like these.
