As promised, here is the step-by-step walkthrough on how to join the club and get everything sorted out! 1) Club Membership: As with all other Clubs at Imperial, the first step to become a member is to get your Club membership. * Go here: https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/activities/a-to-z/judo * Log-in with your Imperial username and password * Get your membership under 'Join Judo' The more members join the Club the more grant we receive from the Union to subsidies our activities! 2) British Judo Licence To practice Judo in the UK, go to competitions, and grade, you need to have a British Judo Licence. Fortunately, as a member of our club, you can get the licence at a heavily discounted price (£20). You will also get with it a new judo gi and your first grading for free! * Go here: http://www.britishjudo.org.uk/clubs/my-club/initiatives-and-programmes/svs/ * Scroll down * Click on '(SVS) Online Registration Form' * Fill it in with your personal details The British Judo Licence will be sent to you and the judo gi will be sent to the club. The first batch of gis will be sent on the 16th so make sure to fill the form before that to get your gi as soon as possible! 3) Mat Fees [going live this weekend] Mat Fees cover all of the day to day costs of the Club (coaching, equipment, etc...) and will allow you to not have to pay each session individually.
