Hi all,
Please see the message below from our ACC Chair. Positions are up for grabs for next year's ACC committee, and anyone from any club can run, even if you're not in a committee position at the moment. Full training will be provided, so don't be put off if you haven't done anything like this before! This is your chance to make a difference for all the clubs and societies, not just judo!
On a judo-related note, please can everyone remember there is NO TRAINING THIS FRIDAY!!!
See you on the mat,
Alice
Dear all,
Please find attached the minutes from last night’s meeting and the ACC AGM Nominations Form with the corrected location of Pippard (not Read as previously written).
As I said in the meeting, the position on the ACC Exec are for any student member in any club so please forward this to your mailing lists to ensure equal opportunity. Please tell your members that the issue of ‘not knowing enough’ is hopefully going to be significantly lessened this year, poor handovers are a personal pain so please tell everyone I am more than willing to sit down for a month if necessary to teach my successor everything they need to know.
In the meantime the descriptions of the available jobs are below, if you wish to come and see any of us to grab a coffee and talk about our jobs and what they entail please feel free to send us an email (contacts below)

Good morning all
The deadline for applying to become a Glasgow 2014 volunteer is fast approaching. There are less than two weeks left to apply, and the team at NUS Scotland want to ensure that students – from across the UK – are part of creating one of the biggest events in Scotland.
The key message Glasgow 2014 want to send out to students: “Take a chance on volunteering and you could be part of the biggest sporting event in Scottish history.”
Please ensure that you let your students know there isn’t long left to apply. Below is some text that explains all they’ll need to know about being part of the event:
There are loads of roles to apply for and previous volunteering experience isn't necessary. Just visit the Glasgow 2014 website to find out more and watch their In a nutshell video that gives you all the info on volunteering you'll need. If you're concerned about covering the cost of volunteering, the Legacy 2014 Volunteer Support Programme could help. The programme has been created to provide practical and financial support to those that wouldn't otherwise be able to apply, like travel, accommodation and childcare funding. We can provide you with more details if your application is successful or visit www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/Scotland for the latest news. Don't put it off - apply today.
Best wishes
