Guys adn Girls, A big well done to everyone for this term. We are glad to see such a good turn up and hope to see a similar devotion and commitment next term. As of competition, a few dates you should take a not of are mentioned below. Sheffield University team tournament (remember that it's a team open entry tournament which makes no distinction between white, coloured and black belts, but most team usually enter two teams, A and B teams). Celebration and massie party in Sheffield union takes place on the saturday night. The date to be remembered for this event is the 18th of February. The Paris Tournament is due to take place on the 6th of february but we have yet to hear from them. Sylvere, Polytechnique student currently on exchange is chasing them to get a reply but things are not looking very good. If we receive an entry form over the course of christmas, we are happy to send a team for those interested. However if we don't hear from them, I'm worried that Eurostar tickets' price will be too high. The London intra-university competition is due to take place on the 12 th of February. This is a colour-kyu belt (orange+blue) and brown+black belt event. That is three weekends in a row. Expecting some good performance from everyone at these events in preparation for BUCS University championshoips mid-march. Besides, a competition in High Wycombe for beginners (1hour drive from central London) is scheduled end-January. Training will be hard for those involved in competing and we are expecting a decent turn up at all sessions on top of good committment. I had a chat with Sport Imperial boss Neil Mosley last week who has high hopes on us succeeding at this year BUCS. Last but not least, last chance to get your crest embroided, gi jacket in SI office by tomorrow before 11am, and hoodie purchase from Jake as soon as possible. A great Xmas to you all and keep feet!
