Good Morning all! A few notices for you attention: 1. NO TRAINING NEXT MONDAY 13th of MARCH. Due to cleaning of the union gym we cannot have training next Monday. Feel free to go to ethos as an alternative. 2. AGM - Our annual general meeting will take place at 19:00 on Monday the 20th of March. This is when we vote in the new committee for next year. We need as many members as possible to come!!! We need people there to run for positions and to vote for them as they will be in charge of the club for the next year. If you wish to run for a position here is a run down of the roles: * President: Responsible for running the club, coordinating the committee and representing the club. Tasks: book the training room and organize trainings, reply to email from prospective judo members, represent the club in front of the Union, manage the finances with the treasurer, organize the committee, make sure the year run smoothly (fresher’s fair,competitions, trainings, socials). * Secretary: Emailing the club regularly, organising committee meetings and taking the minutes. Looking after the email account with the president. * Treasurer: manage the finance of the club. Tasks: manage the coach payment, competition fees, union products, budget and all money in/out. * Competition Secretary: Sign people up for, and manage the organisation of competitions. Also look for new competitions in a timely manner. * Social Secretary: Organize socials: ACC and Christmas diner are key and other socials on top. * Men’s captain: Support and lead the men’s team also help with other club roles * Women’s captain: Support and lead the women’s team also help with other club roles * Webmaster Maintain the online presence of the Judo club by managing the web page and social media accounts. If you wish to run please provide a short manifesto stating why you want to run, what skills you bring to the role, and what your plans are for the club and email it to judo@imperial.ac.uk. If you are unable to attend please email the club with your manifesto and we can vote for you at the AGM. 3. Spring Term Mat Fees. Please purchase the spring mat fees if you have been training this term. It is how we pay our coaches and ensures we can have 3 sessions a week. We will be chasing you up if you haven't paid by the end of term.
