Good evening peeps, Yet another email about upcoming competitions. On the weekend starting 15th March is possibly the best competition of the university calendar (/of all time). The University of Shefield Invitational Student Tournament is a team competition with univeristy teams from all over the UK, as well as abroad, competing. Probably more important than this, there is a huge party out in Sheffield with all the Uni's after the fighting has finished on the Saturday. If you ask any of the more senior members that have been lucky enough to go, they will tell you how much fun this competition is. We drive up on the friday in the minibus, get weighed in, sleep on the mats, fight on the saturday, then out to party, and back on Sunday morning. Normally we team up with our friends a ULU judo and combine to form a few London teams. Each team is made up of 4 men (-73, -81, -90, +90) and 2 women (-57, +57). In the past we have entered at least 3 teams so there is room enough for everyone to go to this one. I have attached the competition info, so please have a read through yourselves. Whoever's interested reply to philip.rudden09@imperial.ac.uk so we can get an idea of numbers and begin to form some teams. I will not be chasing you all up as I normally do, as I am sure we will have more than enough interest in this one!
