Hi everyone!
Hope you’ve all been enjoying the trainings so far!
The London Area Universities & Colleges Senior Open 2015 is happening on
Sunday 15th November 2015
and I expect everyone to participate! The competition is open to all grades and is a great opportunity to try out your skills and see what a judo competition is like. It is being held at
Sports Dock, UEL, Docklands Campus, University Way, London, E12 2RD, which is only a tube ride away. We will travel there and back as a club and will probably end the day with a well-deserved drink or two. The
competition is super convenient as it’s in the middle of term, (so no deadlines looming) and is within London so you’ll be there and back in no time.
Entries cost £15
If you were under the age of 20 on the 1st of September 2015 then you can enter two groups and this will cost £26.
The event is split into “novices to 3rd Kyu (Green belt)” and “2nd Kyu and above”, so beginners don’t worry, you won’t be fighting anyone too experienced; and there will be many others just like you as well!
The different weight categories are:
Senior Women: u48, u52, u57, u63, u70, u78, 70+
Senior Men: u60, u66, u73, u81, u90, u100, 100+
