Hey guys,
Just wanted to ask around and see who would be willing to do pre-season training next year. Normally what we would do would be to come over to London a couple of weeks before the year starts and train every day to get in shape before the start of competition season. It is really good fun and training is awesome, its got another great thing with it ITS FREE!!! However it does require you to commit a two weeks before the start of the year.
If you are interested in signing up, please contact me as soon as possible at gjm11(a)ic.ac.uk. The more the merrier!! if we as a club get more than ten people signed up, we are entitled to have a personal coach just for us!!
If you need any more details or are interested don´t hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Guille

Subject: Japan's hottest director comes to London
Dear Andres,
I work for LIFT, a festival of international performance in London. We’re bringing Toshiki Okada, Japan’s pre-eminent director, to present his new work Super Premium Soft Double Vanilla Rich in London in June. The show is a fantastically dark look at Japan’s consumerist society, set in a supermarket and from the perspective of today’s young ‘lost generation’.
As the President of the Judo society we thought you’d be best placed to help us spread the word about the show to Imperial College students interested in Japanese culture.
The piece is in Japanese with English surtitles and is going to be a unique opportunity for Londoners to see cutting edge contemporary theatre.
If you could share the eflyer below with society members and anybody else you think might be interested that would be great.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need any more information,
Thanks

Meet the Lost Generation
Japan's most exciting theatre director Toshiki Okada, and his company chelfitsch return to London's artsdepot with a brand-new work - Super Premium Soft Double Vanilla Rich.
Set in a supermarket, Super Premium … takes a darkly humorous look at Japanese consumerism, through slacker language, dreamlike movement and a striking soundscape of J-pop and J. S. Bach.
Working with his company, chelfitsch, Okada is celebrated as a chronicler of Japan’s Lost Generation, the young people coming of age as their economy spiralled into decline. His theatre captures their unease, selfcentredness and cynicism so astutely that his characters will need no translation for a London audience.
