Hi guys,
Let me take this opportunity to welcome the newcomers to Imperial College Judo club. Big welcome goes out especially to the beginners. Hopefully you'll find the sessions enjoyable and can start training towards moving up some grades. We compete in a fair amount of competitions both here and around Europe, some more serious than others but all fun.
Training is on Mondays (6pm-7.30pm) and wednesdays (5.30pm-7pm), we're not strict on attendance so dont worry about coming to both. For those of you that don't know where we train, this Wednesday 4th October we'll be meeting in Beit Quad at 5pm to walk down to Wilson House. We'll probably do the same next monday aswell i.e. meet at Beit half an hour before we start. Bring your gi (judo suit) if you have one otherwise just come in some jogging bottoms and a loose t-shirt and we'll find you a jacket. You'll be able to buy a gi from us later at real cheap prices!
Membership is only £10 for the year plus £10 per term, or if you dont think you'll be coming that often then its £10 for the year and £1 per session
As i'm sure most of you know already Judo is a martial art and an Olympic sport and involves beating your opponent through throws, armlocks, strangles and pins. You'll all benefit from the improved fitness, body toning and self-confidence that comes along with doing judo
Hope to see you all at training
Obi
