Hi guys, I may have said to some of you, off the cuff, that the London Int is "next-next week". Its actually "next-next-next week"...sorry, my mistake. Anyway its on the 11/12th Feb. Ok so far we have the following names for competitions: London Int: 11th (Kyu) - Zhong Yi, Liang Long 12th (Open) - Rahul, Obi Sheffield: 25/26th - Jon, Rahul, Liang Long, Vincent, Eugene, Claudia, Julie (Till - you haven't specified which one yet) We need the following details from you: 1. Full name 2. DOB 3. Grade 4. Weight 5. BJA Licence number. If you don't have a BJA licence, apply for one at www.britishjudo.org.uk ASAP (membership->individual). You'll get it in time. Thanks! Hey guys, we actually forgot one more. Wed. 14th June - Friday 16th June 2006 in Delft (Holland) 2006. Weights (TB), definetly needed 4 men and 2 women + one coach, (plus reserves). Imperial is gona pay EVERYTHING it is a competitions with the other universities of the IDEA League (Aachen, Imperial, Delft, ETH Zurich - put in the right order would spell IDEA....). Anyways, supposed to be a friendly fun match. And as I said, if we get the team together, accomodation, travel and food and drinks (within the event) is all taken care of. All we need to do is go there and kick some butt - or just have fun and chill. So, all of you - no matter which level, check your exam schedules... first we need to know how many pple are available, then i can start negotiating numbers. But I think if the volleyball team is allowed to take reserves along ,we should be too ;). K, see ya guys tonite. Jonathan

Sorry, forgot to mention: You need to bring a BJA license membership along to these competitions. If you don't have one go to www.britishjudo.org.uk ->membership->individual and apply for the senior membership. (write NA for club name and club number on the form). Spring term announcements

Hi everyone, Hope you had a good holiday. Announcements for the coming Spring term: 1. Training will resume this Monday, 9th Jan and will go on at the usual place and times. 2. This coming term see a number of exciting Judo competitions - to name a few; the London Judo International (11th Feb weekend), University of Sheffield International (26th Feb), and BUSA (Mar 18th weekend). Mark these dates in your diaries and look out for further emails as the dates draw nearer! 3. In particular, I want to bring to your attention a competion held in Tartu, Estonia (that's right) on May 19-21. It's a friendly individuals Judo competition, that is part of a set of other sports being played. I know its early to commit yourself now (exam dates and all that), but we just need an idea of the interest so if you are even remotely interested let me know before Tuesday. If the response is good we'll act on it and it'll be superb weekend! See www.sellstudentgames.com for more details. * Remember that the union funds (or at least subsidises) all judo competition entry and transport expenses...so I'd really encourage you to take advantage of this and compete, even just for fun (you've nothing to lose). 4.
