Hi everyone,
Hope you've all had a good Easter!
Judo is back as of Tuesday 27/04/04 So if you've been missing it over the hols now's the time to get back into it. And think about grading..............
The Budokwai is running a joint training session with oxford, cambridge, southampton and of course us on the first Sunday of May 02/05/04 (details attached). This should be good and well attended and a chance to train with different people.
There will be the opportunity to grade there earlier on that sunday for anyone 6th kyu (bottem green) and below again details attached. This would really be worth it for beginners. As it's a schools and universities gradings so you won't get any of the Budokwai orange belts who haven't graded for 10 years and weigh 100kg + ! Plus its near by and you'll be getting grading and training for the price of just a grading.
So if your interested in the grading / training let me know (and which) ASAP. You will need a BJA licence to grade. If you haven't got one yet then you may beable to get one intime if you send off for it now. Go to http://www.britishjudo.org.uk/pdf/Membform.pdf for a membership form, you need to print it off and post it to the adress on there.
Don't worry about the theory it's easy, and if you don't know it we'll teach you it. And you'll be pleased to know I've recently found out that I can examine theory............Ha ha ha (I will be very harsh)!
Julie :-)

Dear Julie,
The draft for the session on Sunday 2nd May is attached, which will also be sent to Oxford, IC / UL and Southampton plus various local schools that may attend (some of their seniors being applicants for Oxbridge and IC / UL). The training session may be a bit later if there is a big demand for the grading.
Did anyone leave a black tracksuit top fleece behind as Malcolm Limrick found one?
Regards,
Tony
