(16 Dec 2011 - 24 Dec 2011) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Bonjour! The Imperial Ski Trip 2011 is one of the **most exciting events** on the ICSS calendar. What better way to escape the gloominess of winter than to Ski! Just look at all those bright smiles in the photo below (at least before skiing down the 2480m-high mountain): * View image: * <http://files.groupspaces.com/icss/files/171746/H7ysCidswFMc0yYCumg0/Ski+trip+pic.jpg?view&size=mw> This year, we are going to **Les Arcs in France**. Congratulations to **Yong Qian (Imperial)** and **Samantha (UCL)** for winning the pageant! Of course, not forgetting our pretty Miss Imperial, Ming Yue, for clinching the title of Miss Photogenic - congratulations, once again! Photos of the event are already available on our Facebook page <http://on.fb.me/LavishPhotos>, so do check 'em out. :) * View image: * <http://files.groupspaces.com/icss/files/171741/C7gY7vhu7rva8xnUK7DZ/Lavish+winners.jpg?view&size=sw> In addition, we've put in place a series of post-arrival events to help ease our Freshers' transition into their new phase of life in London. We have affectionately termed it the 3-in-1 Freshers' Package! To all seniors, feel free to join us in any of the events to get to know our new additions to the ICSS family better :) : **1. Freshers’ Walkabout: 1st Oct 2011 (Sat)** This would be a quick walkabout around each Hall, conducted by ex-Hall seniors, right after we have dropped the Freshers off at their Halls. If you would like to make a good first impression to our Freshers, this is the best chance for you to **provide tips and advice** to them for life in and around your ex-Hall. Who knows, if you are missing that kick-ass Foosball table or the feeling of huddling together in the cosy little Hall kitchen next time, they would be your key (literally) to the end of your terrible longing. Also, come down with your hallmates and reminisce those great times you have had with them as a Fresher. Drop **Shun Ying** an email at secretary@ic-singsoc.net, if you are interested to join us for the walkabout. To all Freshers: if you have yet to register your hall information, please do so here <https://docs.google.com/a/ic-singsoc.net/spreadsheet/viewform?pli=1&hl=en_US&formkey=dEFuS2c1bHJVTXhNdzJaNzZYTS12V3c6MQ&theme=0AX42CRMsmRFbUy05YjI3NzU3Yi1hODVmLTQ5NDUtOTA2Yi1mZDY0Nzc0ZWU1NTE&ifq> so that we could contact you for the walkabout as soon as possible.
