We are pleased to provide the following updates: 1) Combined Alumni Associations CNY Carnival The Alumni Associations have put together a CNY carnival on 29th January. Please kindly forward the following publicity information to your members and friends: Chinese New Year Carnival 2011 Hello fellow Singaporeans! Chinese New Year's just around the corner and we're organizing a carnival just for you. Spread the lunar cheer with us, we've got a whole slew of festivities lined up including mouth-watering yusheng, a melodious orchestra and great prizes to be won in the lucky draw! Not forgetting the many traditional delights that will be on sale, come savour familiar flavours from home for food indeed, is what makes us so Singaporean. Once up it will feature an online calendar that displays our events together with events that Partner Societies wish to publicise. Before we get the website and calendar up and running, here is a general list of events that we will be having this coming year: - The UKSSC Dinner & Dance, 19 March 2011 - SGin(C) 2011, date to be confirmed - Pre-university talks, dates to be confirmed - Annual General Meeting (AGM), date to be confirmed We will continue to keep you informed. 3) Monthly Newsletter We will be introducing a monthly newsletter to replace the bulk of emails that we have been sending. This newsletter will comprise the following content: - Updates and publicity material regarding The UKSSC events - Updates and publicity material regarding events that Partner Societies wish to publicise - Featured cities: A new initiative to introduce a couple of towns or cities in the UK - Travel reviews during the holiday seasons We hope you will find the newsletter a valuable source of information that you can pass on to your members and friends.
