Menzel is an American actress and singer who originated the role of Elphaba in the Broadway musical Wicked, for which she won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She also more recently voiced Queen Elsa in the Disney movie Frozen, in which the song 'Let It Go' made her the first Tony Award-winning actress to reach the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. A very big thank you to all who joined us at *SFP* on *20 May 2016*, I hope all of you had a great night with the company of our friends (: To our friends on exchange and the graduating seniors, SFP was probably your last ICSS event that you attended with the people around you before you officially graduate from Imperial. I hope you’ve enjoyed yourselves last week, reminiscing the memories from 3-4 years back when you first stepped foot into Imperial, looking back at all the fun you had with your friends all the way back since your Sojourn days. And I hope SFP has reminded you of how far you have come, but most importantly the people who have walked this journey with you. I didn’t really get the chance to say what I wanted to say to the seniors that night, but I am really grateful for everything that you have done for us and for ICSS. You guys have been more than just seniors to us, but also our friends, having fun with us, going through the same if not similar experiences. Even though some of you might be a few years older than me, I never really felt that age gap because you guys were always so friendly and approachable. But more than being just a friend, you guys have always been our pillar of support, providing us juniors with support and advice when we needed help, especially when we were freshers, helping us to settle down smoothly.
From the bottom of my heart, I am thankful to have met you guys and to have had the chance to spend time with you in my first year. Life at Imperial in the next academic year will definitely be different without you guys. So as many of you are about to walk your separate ways, I hope that SFP was more than an event to mark the end of your journey at Imperial, but more so, a chance for all of us to celebrate the memories that we have had and the friendships that we have forged on this journey.
Seniors, we will definitely miss you, and I hope ICSS has been and will always be a home away from home for you (: Your grateful and sentimental President, Si Ci 2. Food for Thought Hello! Thank you to all those who came down for our recently concluded event - *Food for Thought*! We hope that our small effort has helped relieve some of the stress in this exam period & that exams are going/have gone well for you!(: We hope you enjoyed the food (& sincerely apologise if you didn't - or if there wasn't enough!) and see you at our next event! Your not-so-masterchef-after-all Events Officers, Yuan Rong and Yan Tong 3. Retrospect 2016 Hi everyone!
