The Weekly Kaya & Toast -- Autumn Term Week 11: Merry Christmas ICSS!
Updates Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Dear Brothers and Sisters, In the mere blink of an eye, an entire term has almost flown by since we set foot in London eleven fateful weeks ago. And what a term it's been! Amidst the hustle and bustle of settling Freshers down in their new home, embarking on day trips out of London, engaging potential employers in careers and competing against the Malaysians in a neck-to-neck battle for the Who boleh? Championship, we've found time to grow and bond as one Singaporean family. Not to mention, squeezing in lab reports, assignments and rushed coursework just before the deadlines (we're Imperial- we live to work, not the other way round). *Enjoying the festive cheer with the rest of the ICSS family. * Indeed, the ICSS family spirit was clearly felt at last week’s Christmas Party, where over 60 members of the ICSS family (and a cute piñata) flooded the EEE building with great food, merry laughter, and good times. Congratulations are in order to *Chinhua* and his sous-chefs, who baked the exquisite *‘You Raisin Me Up’* and were declared the *newly crowned Iron Chef*! Our thanks go out to Bowen, the outgoing Iron Chef, who put up a strong fight and held on to the coveted Chef’s hat for so long. All in all, it was a lovely and lively close to the end of term, and got everyone in the mood for Christmas. <http://e.groupspaces.com/click/1ours-1ez6m-1lu3gagnv0?u=http%3A%2F%2Ffiles.groupspaces.com%2Ficss%2Ffiles%2F255790%2FSiAF9zhccu8wMVNJGNXj%2F326289_286252978078747_187809234589789_719502_882578428_o.jpg%3Fview%26utm_medium%3Demail%26utm_source%3Dgroup%26utm_term%3Dgroup-1361> *Chinhua, the newly crowned Iron Chef and his sous chefs. * And we're only halfway through! The next term promises to be even more exciting, action-packed and fun-filled, with crowd favourites such as the *ICSS Chinese New Year Dinner*, *SG VS Malaysia Who boleh? Food Festival *and *MAJOR EVENT 2012* lined up just for you. As we break for the Christmas holidays to ski down slopes with friends, jet set around Europe, or even take a short trip back to sunny (and warm!) Singapore, let us look forward to the New Year ahead and celebrate the friendships that the past year has brought us. Finally, as Christmas is a season of giving and gratitude, we'd like to thank you for the gifts of your contributions in bringing this society from strength to strength, of your enthusiasm and passion that made each event so memorable, and simply for the gift of your presence, in being there for us. So, on behalf of nine overworked and slightly stressed-out Committee members: * * *MERRY CHRISTMAS** AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! * <http://e.groupspaces.com/click/1ours-1ez6m-1lu3gagnv0?u=http%3A%2F%2Ffiles.groupspaces.com%2Ficss%2Ffiles%2F255794%2Fbf9rBOLUPItUNDIKlGK0%2FEdited-8303.jpg%3Fview%26utm_medium%3Demail%26utm_source%3Dgroup%26utm_term%3Dgroup-1361> Love, ICSS 29th Exco PS: Click here<http://e.groupspaces.com/click/1ours-1ez6m-1lu3gagnv0?u=http%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FbuiCT-CCDiA>to feel the Christmas cheer! ------------------------------ http ://www . union . ic . ac . uk/osc/si****ngapore/<http://e.groupspaces.com/click/1ours-1ez6m-1lu3gagnv0?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.union.ic.ac.uk%2Fosc%2Fsingapore%2F> To unsubscribe, visit https://mailman . ic . ac . uk/m**ailman** /listinfo/icu-singsoc<http://e.groupspaces.com/click/1ours-1ez6m-1lu3gagnv0?u=https%3A%2F%2Fmailman.ic.ac.uk%2Fmailman%2Flistinfo%2Ficu-singsoc> Powered by GroupSpaces<http://e.groupspaces.com/click/1ours-1ez6m-1lu3gagnv0?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgroupspaces.com%2F¬rack>- Manage your group online<http://e.groupspaces.com/click/1ours-1ez6m-1lu3gagnv0?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgroupspaces.com%2F¬rack> <http://e.groupspaces.com/click/1ours-1ez6m-1lu3gagnv0?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgroupspaces.com%2F¬rack>
