Major Event 2015 sign-ups for certain teams are still open! Do sign up soon if you have yet to do so.

This Autumn promises to be a fun-filled one as we have quite a couple of events lined up for you! Hyde Park Picnic,
our Commemoration Day trip to Thorpe Park & Nottingham Winter Games, just to name a few. Check out these events' details and how you can sign up below! Don't forget to do so before the different deadlines too!

In addition, Contact Singapore is holding a careers networking & recruitment event on 25th October and King's College Malaysian & Singapore Society is holding a club night on 13th October. Check out the Advertisement section for more details!

Finally, a reminder to all who have yet to sign up for Imperial College Singapore Society membership for the new academic year, please log in HERE to make a purchase with your credit/ debit card details! As a member, you will benefit from many restaurants discounts,
member prices for all our events and be given a complimentary ICSS member card too, so do sign up with us if you have yet to!

1. Major Event 2015

The upcoming week will be Major Event Enjoy & Tryout (MEET) week for those who have signed up for perform team (cast/chorale/dance/emcee/music teams). As the name suggests it, MEET is a chance for the ME 2015 directors to find out more about your talents and also an opportunity for you to try out for the teams you're interested in! MEET sessions will be held over the week. Do check your email regularly if you have signed up for the session details!

Sign-ups for the set team, publicity & design team in Major Event 2015 are still open. Do sign up quickly HERE.

For those who are keen to join the cast/chorale/dance/emcee/music teams but have yet to fill in the form, please drop me an email at majorevent@ic-singsoc.net with your name, handphone number and the teams you're interested in and we'll do our best to try to slot you in as best as we can!

As for the rest who have signed up for ME2015, do keep 27 October 2014, Monday, 7pm-10pm free as there will be Major Event Mix & Mingle! Mix & Mingle is a mini party whereby all teams involved in Major Event will come together and get to know each other better! There will be food and drinks so do turn up on that day to know your teams and other teams better.

2. Hyde Park Picnic

It's that time of the year again where we welcome in the new academic year and our new freshers to London with ICSS's very own Hyde Park Picnic!

As the final event in the Freshers'Package, let us invite both freshers and seniors to enjoy a lovely day out at Hyde Park. Take this opportunity to mix and mingle with members from the society as well as make new friends. Sports and games will also be provided for those who wish to get out and get active.

The details to Hyde Park Picnic are as follows:

Date: 18th October 2014

Venue: Hyde Park, Old Football Pitches

Time: 9am - 1pm

There will definitely be snacks, drinks and games provided. All you have to do is bring yourself along to join in the fun! Feel free to bring your own snacks and card games to share as well! Hope to see you there!

3. Commemoration Day Trip - Thorpe Park

On the 22nd of October, ICSS will be organising an action-packed visit to one of the best theme parks in the UK, Thorpe Park! Get ready for a day of non-stop roller coasters and massive fun on a school holiday! As it will be held on a weekday (Imperial College Commemoration Day), expect queues to be shorter than your typical weekend crowd! Tickets will be going at 35 pounds for members and 40 pounds for non-members and it includes 2 way transport to the destination. (U.P. 49.99 pounds per ticket excluding transport).

4. Nottingham Winter Games

You've been to the sports interest group sessions, you've experienced the enthusiasm of the sports representatives and you've had your first taste of the representing ICSS during the Warwick Summer Games 2014. 

Now gear up for another exciting opportunity to reclaim that gold for ICSS at the Nottingham Winter Games 2014. Come represent ICSS all the way at Nottingham as we attempt to battle it out with other UK Universities through various outdoor and indoor sports.

This year, there will be bigger and better with free tours by Nottingham University to Wollaton Park, bubble tea options included in your delectable Asian lunches, and traditional Kampong Games to even out the playing field.

The details are as follows:

Venue: University of Nottingham (transport will be provided FOC)

Ever drank Vodka off an ice luge? Well, you will get the opportunity to do all that and more on Monday at Funky Buddha. Tickets go for 20 pounds!
