Hey everyone!

We are halfway through the first term and winter is coming. I hope you're having a great time here so far, but do remember to keep yourselves warm!

Nottingham Winter Games (NWG) concluded last Saturday, and everyone put in a spirited performance, with Captain's Ball and Dodgeball winning Gold, and Badminton (Doubles) winning Silver! Thank you everyone who trained hard for and participated in this year's NWG!

Bookings for our highly anticipated ski trip will close in two weeks! It will be held from 16 to 24 Dec 2016, at Les Deux Alpes, France, and costs £579 (+£5 for non-ICSS members). Booking closes on 18 Nov so do sign up HERE to receive the booking information!

We will be holding our first Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) on 30 Nov 2016, 1330-1630 at EEE LT 408 . Do note that this is a members-only event, and you can purchase membership HERE if you have not done so. Do also indicate your attendance for OGM HERE, and join us for some free KFC Hot Wings and other finger food!

Lastly, do refer to the infographic at the end of this digest for a list of events we have planned for this term!

P.S. Today Singapore's first Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) was opened! The MRT is a rapid transit system forming the major component of the railway system in Singapore, spanning the entire city-state. The network has since grown rapidly in accordance with Singapore's aim of developing a comprehensive rail network as the backbone of the public transport system in Singapore, with an average daily ridership of 3.031 million in 2015.

1. Nottingham Winter Games

Hi guys!

With the recent conclusion of this year Nottingham Winter Games, I hope everyone had an awesome time, whether you were slogging it out against other universities or simply having a nice chill OTOT travel session in Notts!

All our sports teams put up a splendid, spirited performance, with Captain’s Ball and Dodgeball clinching gold, while Badminton (Doubles) obtained silver. We will definitely build on this to achieve even better results in the future, and I sincerely hope everyone had fun at Notts!

Of course, this NWG experience would not have been possible without the hard work, dedication and grit put in by all sports players, and I would like to sincerely thank all participants for training hard and giving your best for the games!

Do have a good rest guys, we've certainly earned it and see you guys around :D

2. Ski Trip

Hi everyone!

There are 2 weeks left for ski trip bookings!

The details of this year's ski trip are as follows:

Date: 16 to 24 Dec 2016
Venue: Les Deux Alpes, France
Price: £579 (+£5 for non-ICSS members)

For those that have never skied/snowboarded before, instruction will be provided for the beginners so rest assured and do come along! (Grab your friends along too!)

This package includes equipment, lift pass, lessons, breakfast and dinner, transport, as well as accommodation at the resort!

Please take note that there are some changes to the Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) details as follows:

Time: 1330 - 1630 (instead of starting at 1300)
Venue: EEE LT 408

Do take note that this is a members-only event so if you wish to attend, please ensure that you have purchased your membership from the Union page HERE.
