Hi Everyone!

We'll be having a gathering session this Wednesday to announce the storyline and casts of Major Event 2010! It will be a musical held in mid-March next year and we hope that everyone can join in to make it a success.

The details are as follows
16th December 2009 (THIS WEDNESDAY, 2 more days!)

Chem Eng Building LT1 (where we all had our free chicken rice)

We have selected the almost all the casts and gathered some musicians/ dancers/ publicity & logistics volunteers, BUT WE NEED MORE! Thus, if you are hesitant about signing up, do come down on Wednesday to learn more about the event and express interest on the spot! We guarantee it'll be an unforgettable experience =D

So do come on down this Wednesday, 1pm, at Chem Eng Building LT1!

2. MAJOR EVENT 2010!!!

The storyline for the musical is already out! Our scriptwriters are James Chia and Tan Jia Jia, director will be Anna Lee (all 3 are freshers) and we have a Year 5 Medic Victoria Tan who will be our lyricist. (Snrs who think you are too old to join?! Think again!!)

We understand that many people feel left out of the decision making process. Nevertheless, we will still NEED ALL OF YOU to HELP OUT!!! We done the hard part. You all can just come down be the stars of the show! PRETTY EASY JOB! :)

Acting
Contact Kai Long at
icss.events@gmail.com. You will be involved in performing on stage, there might be some singing involved (but you can tell us if you don't want to). The time commitment will be about 1 night per week for rehearsals after Christmas break, but this will increase nearer to the performance.

Dancing
Contact Dexuan at
hong.dexuan@hotmail.com. You will be involved in dancing and choreographing (if you have the experience). The time commitment will be similar to that of actors.

Music and Composing
Contact Jasmine at
jasmine.liu09@gmail.com or Anne at pickypoopoo@gmail.com. You will be involved in composing, arranging and performing the songs on performance day. Time commitment is 1 time a week to practice with the others, but time will be spent alone for the initial stages on composing.

Singing
Contact Jasmine at
jasmine.liu09@gmail.com. You will be involved in performing some songs either solo (a few lines) or in a choir. Time commitment is uncertain for now because the songs have not been written but it should be an average of 1 time a week nearing the event. Please note that actors will be singing as well.

Logistics
Contact Bernadette at
lee.bernadette@hotmail.com. You will be involved in constructing props and costumes prior to the event and changing the props for each scene during full-dress rehearsals and on the actual performance day. The time commitment will be once a week, but may increase nearer to the performance.

Publicity
Contact Bernadette at
lee.bernadette@hotmail.com. You will be involved in designing the posters and publicity tools to enable us to sell our tickets to the students of Imperial and from other schools. Time commitment will be about once a week.

Be committed and passionate!

Long hours at rehearsals?! The countless friendships are PRICELESS!!

Please email the respective IC if you have interest of joining the various groups. Details will be sent out only to those who express interest because we do not want to flood everyone's inboxes.

There is a MASS GATHERING on 16th December 2009 (THIS Wednesday) for EVERYONE to inform you guys about the storyline as well as introduce the actors and scriptwriters etc. It will be held after school, 1pm at Chem Eng Building LT1 (where we had the free chicken rice). So do take down this date in your calendars!

Thank you very much!
