Hello everyone! 

With the examination period in full swing, the 36th Executive Committee hopes that everyone is staying healthy, mentally and physically! Even now, we are in the midst of preparing many events for you - stay tuned to the next few issues for very exciting updates!

It is easy to loss track of time when we are all focused of studying. Members interested in running for the position of Major Events Officer, please do not forget that the nomination period is now open! Please follow the instructions sent out by our president, Jacelyn, on the requirements for nominations. 

As a fresher reaching the end of year 1, I am already feeling rather old. What must the graduating seniors be thinking?! The SingSoc Farewell Party is happening next week! Please follow the link below to RSVP if you have not done so.

1. Major Events Officer Election


Hey everyone!

The nomination period for the summer elections is now open! Interested members wanting to run for the position of Major Events Officer should pay special heed to the timeline detailed below. 

Nominations open: Wed, 16th May 2018
Nominations close: Wed, 23rd May 2018
Manifesto + Video deadline: Thurs, 24th May 2018 at noon
Candidates revealed + Manifesto published: Thurs, 24th May 2018 in the evening* 
Voting opens: Tues, 29th May 2018
Voting closes: Fri, 1st June 2018

(*internal ICSS timeline)

Even if you are not running for the position of Major Events Officer, please take note of this timeline!! VOTING happens between the 29th of May and the 1st of June. Every vote will be extremely important in allowing this upcoming election to be successful, so please do remember to vote! 

Once the candidates' manifestos and videos are published, it will be available on the ICSS website and through social media! Every member is welcome to ask post questions as comments on the video, and candidates are obliged to reply by Sunday 27th May.

2. SingSoc Farewell Party

 

Dear ICSS,

A reminder that this year's SingSoc Farewell Party is happening next week! This is the last get together session with the graduating batch for the academic year. :( Don't let EXAMS get in the way of spending more precious time together as a SingSoc Family! All are welcome, in particular the graduating undergraduates, exchange students and postgraduates :) 

Venue: Royal School of Mines (RSM) - Room 301 C/D/E
Date: 26th May 2018, Saturday (Monday, 28th May, is a bank holiday, so no excuses not to come!)
Time: 1900 - 2200
Reasons to come down: FREE food + Amazing performances and awards :P

If you have not done so, please RSVP HERE by 19th May 2018 to ensure that we have sufficient food for everyone!
