1. Pre-Departure Talk 2020 Sign Up

Want to meet new friends from the comfort of your house? Well, today's your lucky day. The annual ICSS Pre-Departure Talk (PDT) will be happening on
25th July, from
2 p.m to 5 p.m. As I'm sure we all know, the PDT aims to welcome the incoming class of freshers into the Imperial Singaporean community, as well as to provide valuable information to ease
their transition to life here in London. As seniors, your advice and know-how is invaluable!
Due to Covid-19, the PDT will be held online over Microsoft Teams. Every course already has an academic representative who will be coming down to meet the freshers, but the more the merrier! If you are interested, you can sign up at the following link:
tinyurl.com/ICSSPDT2020snr. Thank you and hope to see you all on the 25th of July!

2. Mums & Dads Initiative
Hey all! This year, we have decided to roll out a new initiative -- Mums and Dads! While Sojourn can’t be as large-scaled as what we have all experienced,
we would still love to give you and the juniors a chance to know more people and meet physically.
It should be quite familiar for most of you. 2 seniors will pair up, one as a "mum" and the other as a "dad". Of course, you two don’t have to be of the opposite genders. Both of you will be assigned to a few juniors who would be your "children". The group
will ideally consist of 4 to 5 people so that there is definitely a chance to meet in Singapore. We will try to match you up with juniors who have similar hobbies and interests.
For those of you who did not sign up for Sojourn but still want to meet the juniors, here's your chance! For those of you who are in Team Sojourn, you are welcome to take part in this too! (*If you are a secret fresher, please sign up as 'children' - we will
send that form out in late July.)
You will be notified of your groupings
by the second week of August. There is currently no planned event for your "families". Thus, please have at least one meeting with your juniors before Sojourn to help them
ease into orientation.
Since the planning of this initiative is in progress, do let us (Gillian/Leanne) know how you feel about this idea and how we can improve on it! Here’s where you can sign up:

We look forward to your responses and have a happy summer break~

Gillian and Leanne
